January 5. 2025 – Day 5 – I hope that clarifies it.

I have been told I have it easy. Many people think my parents give me everything. Wanting to see me do life without my mommy’s support to see if I can. Calling me a momma’s girl.

Have you met my mom?

She supported my career change despite the severe pay cut because she wants to see me fulfilled. She has been to every birthday, and event my children have ever come up with. She entrusts me with decisions and tasks and steps out of the way to let me take control. She allows me to run her businesses without intervention, of course she trained me. She keeps me focused on a healthy mind and body. Getting my entire family outside at every opportunity possible. She is an amazing cook. Her cheesecake and mac and cheese are unmatched. Rodeos, theme parks, skate parks and adventures are guaranteed when around her. She is deeply spiritual and if you want to connect to God and think outside of yourself, her simple conversations will take you there. She appreciates gifts. She smiles often. She is generous. She loves my boys with the same passion with which she loved me. She supported my decision to go to Honduras and has visited enough for me to feel like she is here with me. She lives life to the fullest and I swear she is getting younger every year!

I am a mommy’s girl. I would not want to do it without her. I am grateful for her support. I can only hope to follow in her footsteps.

I hope that clarifies it.

BTW: I could make a list of everything I do for her, but I don’t keep track. Whatever she wants, she gets. Period.
