Writing is a way for me to connect to myself. Having people read my work and empathize proves that we are all in this together. Although our life experiences have been very different, we can connect with what is beautiful, what is hard, what is necessary, what should not be, and what most definitely is. I needed this reminder today.
So many differences among us cause division. When the emotion from being beaten down and disappointed by people over a lifetime creep into my life, it is the unchanging and the everlasting that brings me back.
In the words of Charlie Brown, “I love mankind…It’s people I can’t stand. One of my goals this year is to look past the people and serve mankind.
