In 2 Chronicles 1, Solomon begins his control. He starts off seeking God, not riches. Taking advantage of an incredible opportunity, Solomon asks God for wisdom. God honors his humble heart and gives him wisdom and abundance.

In 2 Chronicles 2, Solomon reaches out to King Hiram of Tyre. He was a powerful and wealthy pagan king known for his alliance with both King David and King Solomon. Despite not being an Israelite, Hiram had deep respect for the God of Israel and supported the building of God's Temple in Jerusalem.

In 2 Chronicles 3, the construction of the Temple begins. Solomon follows detailed instructions, using gold, precious stones, and carefully carved designs. The care and intentionality behind the detailed work reminds us how we too should worship God.

In 2 Chronicles 4, This chapter focuses on the furnishings of the Temple: the bronze altar, the massive basin called the Sea, lampstands, tables, and countless utensils, all crafted with great care. God is honored when we approach Him with excellence and purpose.
