Congratulations! Today is Day 100—can you believe it? We’ve been reading the Bible for a while now. Has it turned into a discipline? Looking back, has your outlook on life changed at all? Let’s keep going!

In 1 Kings 20, King Ahab of Israel (North) faces attack from Ben-Hadad, king of Aram. Though Ahab is far from righteous, God still shows him mercy and delivers him—and Israel—not once, but twice. Even when undeserved, God’s mercy is with us.

In 1 Kings 21, Ahab sets his eyes on a vineyard. The owner refuses to sell it, but Queen Jezebel orchestrates the owner's death to gain possession of the land. God sees their terrible behavior, and their choices trigger His judgment. Ahab humbles himself, and God shows His willingness to respond to genuine repentance. Although this chapter gives a clear warning to those who abuse power, it also shows that no one is too far gone—repentance is always an option.

In 1 Kings 22, the two kingdoms—Israel (Northern Kingdom) under King Ahab and Judah (Southern Kingdom) under King Jehoshaphat—form an alliance to go to war against a common enemy: the kingdom of Aram (Syria). Despite their efforts, the prophet Micaiah delivers a sobering message: they will fail, and Ahab will die.

Psalm 100, another psalm attributed to King David, is an invitation to joyful worship. It urges us—despite our circumstances—to continuously seek God with praise and love.
